At Chapter One Dog Training, we help good dogs become great ones by providing essential training and doggy life skills.
Our teaching is thorough and diverse so that your pet has a number of opportunities to learn. We use reward-based strategies as well as games so your pet isn’t constantly looking for a treat from you.
Start with puppy pre-school or enrol for adult behavioural training to remind your dog how to be its best self.

Meet Hannah
I loved teaching Cody how to sit, stay, come and respond to my commands. After working daily on his skills, I noticed how much more harmonious family life was with a pet who found it easy to understand what we needed from him. Cody and I progressed to dog sports and had a wonderful time mastering new tricks as a team.
Since then, I have added Harper the Border Collie and Saffron, aka ‘Saffy’ the Australian Shepherd to my little pack, furthering my puppy training know-how with each experience. I have always enjoyed training active working dog breeds and puppies although I often train smaller breeds (who doesn’t love a tiny fluff ball after all?).
After applying what I have learned time and time again, and working for other dog training organisations, it made sense to create a business of my own.
The way I see it, you and your dog are a partnership and you work best when you really understand each other. As Founder of Chapter One Dog Training, I am motivated to offer high quality training so that you have a well-mannered family pet who brings you endless joy.
Why ‘Chapter One’?
The name Chapter One is inspired by the fact that it will make a huge difference to your puppy’s life if you begin training as early as possible.
We start with a blank page so bad habits don’t have the chance to form!
However, dog training can start at any age and it’s definitely not true that you can’t teach an old dog new tricks!
