The truth is, early experiences shape your puppy’s confidence for life. A poor first introduction to training or socialisation can set them back instead of setting them up well for success. Where and When Our Classes Run
We hold our classes inside vet clinics, so your puppy’s first experiences happen in a space that feels calm, clean, and safe. It’s your puppy’s first step toward feeling relaxed and confident at the vet for years to come.

Each class runs for 45 minutes, once a week for 8 weeks. The groups are small and relaxed; just a few pups learning together at a gentle pace.
Our program is open to puppies aged 8 to 12 weeks (as long as they’ve had their first vaccination). It’s the perfect window to start building your puppy’s confidence, social skills, and trust in you.

Can I see the price before I speak to someone?
Yes. Puppy School includes personalised training sessions, ongoing support, and access to me between classes, so you know exactly what you’re getting. We’ll always confirm the details and payment plan before you book. Think of it as an investment in your puppy’s future behaviour, confidence, and happiness; skills that last long after the program ends.
What if I need a payment plan?
We offer flexible payment options so you can pay weekly or upfront, depending on what suits your family best. Before your first class, I’ll talk you through all the details so you can focus on your puppy’s learning, not the logistics.
My puppy will be older than 12 weeks. What should I do?
If your puppy’s age falls just outside our 8 to 12 week window, get in touch. I’ll help you find the next best step, whether that’s private coaching or a tailored Puppy Preschool pathway. Older pups are entering a different developmental stage, and if they’ve been home for a month or two, we may need to adjust training to undo habits or reshape early behaviours. The focus shifts from first introductions to helping them build confidence, routine, and trust through positive reinforcement, setting them up for long-term success.
What happens if we miss a class?
Life happens, and puppies keep us humble. If you miss a week, I’ll make sure you have catch-up options through our WhatsApp feedback, Zoom Q&A, and easy at-home practice steps. This helps you stay on track with the specific progressions we’re working on each week; for example, gradually building from a simple nose touch to a reliable “come when called,” even around distractions.
Do you cater for different breeds and temperaments?
Yes. Every puppy learns at their own pace. Small class sizes let me adapt each session to suit sensitive pups, confident explorers, or those still finding their feet. Whether your dog’s challenge is jumping on people, chewing objects, play biting, or early signs of separation anxiety, I’ll guide you through force-free training approaches that build calm, confident behaviour. What if my puppy has behavioural problems?
That’s completely okay, it’s what I’m here for. Many families join because they’re already seeing signs like toilet training struggles, chewing, or difficulty settling. Our approach focuses on positive reinforcement and reward-based training to reshape those habits before they become ongoing behavioural problems. Every step is calm, patient, and evidence-based. If something truly out of the ordinary comes up, I can also guide you through consulting a behaviour vet (though that’s rarely needed).
What do I need to bring?
Bring your puppy on a flat collar or harness with a standard lead (no retractables, please), plus plenty of soft, high-value treats. I’ll provide everything else, from confidence-building equipment to toys that make learning fun. You’re welcome to bring a small mat or crate if your puppy’s practising crate training at home (though we’ll also have both available in class so your pup can build confidence at the vet, too).
Do you talk about health, vet care, or pet insurance?
Yes, during our Zoom calls, I’ll share guidance on early wellness habits like veterinary treatment, annual vaccines, and even pet insurance considerations. The goal is to help you feel confident about every part of raising your puppy, from socialisation with puppies and people to supporting them through possible stress-related conditions later in life.
